For land. For people. For learning.

What matters most cannot be measured.

Some of the things that matter most can’t be measured.

They’re found in creating meaningful work close to home, enabling women in Ladakh to gain the confidence that comes with earning an independent income. In doing so, we help keep alive the time honoured skills, knowledge and craftsmanship that are unique to this region, while ensuring they remain relevant and valued in today’s world.

Since the begining, Lehvallée has created income opportunities for more than 200 women across villages in Ladakh, provided training in weaving and craft skills to over 50 young women, and built long-term employment for a growing community of local artisans. And we continue to support nomadic and artisans families through personal care and relationships that extend beyond our work together.

Support Our Mission

Our impact extends beyond textiles

We believe that what keeps a craft alive is not only the work itself, but the people, the knowledge, and the stories behind it.

Project SPAL is our way of creating space for these stories to be shared and carried forward, while also making room for new ones to emerge along the way. Through film screenings, conversations and storytelling sessions, we create opportunities for people to come together, share experiences, inspire new ideas, and connect across generations, cultures and borders.
